Yes To HomeCare’s autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services help children and young adults with autism or developmental disabilities achieve maximum independence in school, at home, in our center, and in their community. As a not-for-profit organization, we’re driven by a deeper sense of purpose and believe that those in need of care deserve the best from us. That’s why we seek behavior analysis professionals who view their work as much more than just a career—it’s their calling.
Everyone who works at Yes To HomeCare is united through The Yes To HomeCare Way—our company philosophy— the foundational principles of our culture and the guiding force behind everything we do. Our core values of compassion, excellence, and reliability are ever-present in the work we do with every client.
Yes To HomeCare’s Autism and ABA Services are part of our larger offering of home care services. Our staff of experienced clinicians can provide assistive care (personal and home support) to help with activities of daily living; nursing care for chronic and acute conditions; and habilitation services to help people with developmental and intellectual disabilities live more independently.
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. According to the CDC, autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States.
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy is an applied science, used for the treatment of autism and related learning or social disorders to reduce challenging behaviors and increase functional skills. Interventions based on the principles of ABA are evidence-based, with clearly defined procedures to address social, communication, behavioral, and self-help deficits. ABA is provided either one-on-one or in a group setting by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT™) who will implement and take data on programs detailed in the treatment plan.
Our behavior analysts and technicians provide ABA services for clients in the comfort of their own homes and communities, schools, and our Yes To HomeCare Centers.
Because autism is a spectrum disorder, each person has a distinct set of strengths and challenges. We work closely with you and each individual to thoroughly understand those factors and design a customized plan to best help each individual succeed at home, school, and in their community. Our client care process may include:
Assessment of each child’s current skill functioning is provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®).
The treatment plan is used to define the individualized goals and objectives that are essential to long-term success.
Progress reports are used to keep families and funding sources up to date on progress and make modifications as needed to remain on track toward goals.
Functional behavior assessments are conducted by a BCBA® who identifies when, where, and why a challenging behavior occurs in order to create function-based interventions.
Behavior intervention plans are used to identify challenging behaviors and details strategies to decrease and replace those behaviors based on their function.
Supervision is provided by a BCBA or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA®).
Program updates and modification are used to track mastered skills, program success, and continuously ensure relevance and progress towards goals.
Electronic data collection is taken on each skill and behavior targeted utilizing specialized software built for maximum efficiency, accuracy, and transparency for families.
We are committed to fostering clear and consistent communication with families as it is a vital component of your child’s success.
All of Yes To HomeCare’s professionals have an innate desire and commitment to help someone in need enjoy a better quality of life. Our people followed their hearts to get here. They are doing exactly what they were meant to do. And we back them every step of the way.
In addition to embodying the mission, vision, values, and purpose of The Yes To HomeCare Way—our company philosophy—each professional has extensive job-related experience and training and receives comprehensive supervision and team support. Every employee undergoes a thorough background investigation and work reference check, rigorous training both upon hire and annually, and orientation to your child’s specific needs. Yes To HomeCare maintains the highest standards and adheres to all individual provider licensure by state, where available.
A BCBA® is a masters-trained professional who administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises your child’s ABA therapy.
A BCaBA® is a trained professional with an undergraduate degree or higher who works under the supervision of the BCBA® to implement all treatment programs approved by the BCBA, and to supervise the work of the Registered Behavior Technicians.
An RBT® is a registered and trained paraprofessional who administers your child’s ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA® or BCaBA®.
An experienced BCBA serves as the BSM to provide clinical supervision, oversight, support, training, and clinical expertise.
The CSM will work with the BSM to match the right behavior analysis professionals to each client’s needs, the number of contracted hours, location, and the client’s treatment plan.

“Everyone at Yes To HomeCare is a team, so we are all working together to improve the quality of life for our clients. Everyone is supportive and they want you to succeed. The environment is very welcoming and different in a positive way.”
Yes To HomeCare professionals customize their teaching around several ABA methodologies, including:
Errorless teaching is a way of teaching that prevents a child from making mistakes as they are learning a new skill. The child is prompted to make the correct response immediately, ensuring a correct response each time. The prompt is then slowly faded in order to promote accuracy with the least amount of errors and frustration.
A visual support refers to using a picture or other visual item to communicate with a child who has difficulty understanding or using language. Visual supports can be photographs, drawings, objects, written words, or lists.
Verbal behavior encourages the child to learn language by connecting words to their purpose. The child learns that words can help them get desired objects or results. Verbal behavior programs teach why we use words and how they are useful in making requests and communicating ideas.
Discrete trial teaching is a method of teaching in simplified and structured steps. Instead of teaching an entire skill in one go, the skill is broken down and built up using discrete trials that teach each step one at a time.
Natural Environment Teaching focuses on naturalistic learning through play or learning in the natural setting. This means that teaching isn’t just occurring at a desk or table located in a therapy room, but in a variety of settings.
This play-based therapy targets pivotal areas of a child’s development instead of working on one specific behavior. Pivotal areas include motivation, response to multiple cues, self-management, and initiation of social interactions.
All children engage in some problematic behavior, but for some, these behaviors might include self-injury, aggression, and property destruction. Challenging behavior happens, in large part, because it produces reinforcers for the person. A practical functional assessment (PFA) is used to inform skill-based treatment (SBT). Treatment consists of progressively teaching communication, tolerance for frustration, and a range of contextually appropriate behaviors (CABs). The process includes gathering information about difficult situations, designing, and implementing programs that include access to a child’s personal reinforcers. The overall goal of treatment is to teach children how to behave safely and productively in spite of the normal ambiguities, unpredictability, and disappointments of everyday life with the purpose and highest priority to establish strong, trusting relationships between children and caregivers.
At Yes To HomeCare, we treat every individual and their family as an extension of our own. Each individual’s developmental needs and safety is our highest priority. We customize teachings and interventions to maximize your individual strengths and implement approved methodologies and therapies for improving social skills, communication, and academic learnings.
It is our collective goal to help each individual reach their highest potential. Depending on the age and ability of each child, the earliest portions of our autism services focus on basic verbal and non-verbal communication as tools for learning-readiness, including:
Yes To HomeCare services also target more specialized areas to help individuals with autism reach their maximum potential, including:
